Before Gospel Light began publishing and printing religious books, the Alexander family was publishing a weekly newspaper, the Pike County Tribune. In 1930 Gospel Light Publishing was born and the family began publishing the Gospel Light magazine. It continued until 2019. Soon after the magazine, they got into the book printing business. After years of driving printed books to Ft. Worth for binding, Flanoy Alexander decided in the 1960's to install a book binding operation adjacent to the printing plant.

Today fifth generation Alexanders continue to provide commercial printing and produce religious books specializing in Restoration Movement works in downtown Delight, Arkansas very near the original building that housed those early printing presses.
